Sitka Lighthouse is looking for an office manager to be responsible for handling clerical tasks in our office. You will be handling incoming phone calls and other communications, greeting clients and visitors, as well as managing files, updating paperwork and other documents, and performing other general office clerk duties and errands. Some tasks can be done from home, hours are flexible. In order for you to be selected as a candidate, you will need the ability to write clearly and be proficient with word processing applications. A cooperative personality with strong communication skills is also highly valued. Ability to complete daily and weekly task lists is imperative.
10-15 hours per week, $16.50 per hour after 30 day trial period, $14.00 to start. Pay includes one two-day stay per year at the lighthouse (during off season).
Office Manager Responsibilities:
Handling incoming emails and other communications.
Managing office filing system.
Recording information as needed.
Greeting clients and visitors as needed.
Updating paperwork, maintaining documents and word processing.
Helping organize and maintain office common areas, light office cleaning required
Performing general office clerk duties and errands.
Coordinating events as necessary.
Maintaining office and cleaning supply inventory.
Maintaining office equipment as needed.
Aiding with client reception as needed.
Experience as a virtual assistant.
Creating, maintaining, and entering information into databases.
Act as concierge for guest services, tours, reservations, recommendations
Order retail inventory as needed.
REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or associate’s degree.
Experience as an office assistant or in related field.
Ability to write clearly and help with word processing when necessary.
Warm personality with strong communication skills.
Ability to work well under very limited supervision.
Great communication skills.
Have a valid driver license and vehicle (REQUIRED)
