Our guests will be picked up from the airport using our local airport shuttle, ensuring a smooth start to their stay. We also provide grocery delivery before your arrival so you can settle in without hassle.

    For those seeking adventure, we offer a skiff for trips back and forth to Sitka and kayaks to explore the beautiful waters at your leisure. Enjoy your stay and all the little luxuries that come with it!

  • At Sitka Lighthouse, we prioritize the comfort and safety of our guests. To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, we provide moderate assistance for guests entering and exiting our boat.

    Please note that our bedrooms are situated on the second and third floors. For guests who may require easier access, we are happy to arrange a bed on the main floor during your stay, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and accommodated. Your comfort is our top priority!

  • Our cancellation policy allows a full refund if the reservation is canceled seven business days after the booking date. All cancellations outside of that will receive a 50% refund as long as it is made 30 days before arrival. Please refer to your reservation confirmation for more details.

  • Located in Sitka, Alaska, just a two-hour flight from Seattle on Alaska Airlines, our community boasts stunning natural beauty, rich culture, and outdoor activities. Enjoy picturesque views, local arts, and fresh seafood—Sitka welcomes all travelers to experience our unique island charm!

  • Check-in at SITKA LIGHTHOUSE is at 3:00 PM, providing ample time to settle in and start your adventure. For a smooth departure, check-out is at 10:00 AM. Please be aware that we cannot accommodate check-ins after 6:00 PM from October through April, and we require check-outs to be scheduled no earlier than 7:00 AM throughout the year. We kindly ask that you book your flights accordingly to ensure a hassle-free experience.

  • Absolutely! We would love to host your wedding, reunion, anniversary or special event at Sitka Lighthouse. Our beautiful location is perfect for any occasion, accommodating up to 25 guests indoors and 50 in total.

    The Lighthouse offers decks, open spaces, and a flexible layout for various events, from weddings, to anniversary parties, to corporate business meetings and yoga retreats.     What a delight it was when we first caught sight of the Lighthouse …. Perched on its private island, John’s water taxi ride away from Sitka harbor, what a charming place.

    I wandered the wrap-around decks, relaxed on the swing, stared at the sea’s personality, marveled at the variety of fishing boats, chilled out in the woods “garden,” voyaged on the nautical stairs to the unique tower bedrooms, gasped at the Alaska mountain sunrise from a rocky perch.

    Yes, you have to get up for a sunrise! The tower's “glass room” captures your thoughts… The irresistible kitchen calls you to bake muffins…. The sea is full of islands constantly unveiling with the tide….

    The busy eagles…. make it impossible to stick to a book…. And those radiant sunsets! Wow! It was a dramatic change of pace, a world away from the world. Memories that will be relived for years. We are so glad we found the Sitka Lighthouse!

    The Sitka Lighthouse will go in the books as one of my favorite places to stay in the history of all my travels—which have been many! Teal has truly made this a place that feels like a home away from home—and more! It’s the little details that make you truly appreciate the thoughtfulness they have put into making their guests feel at home.

    We spent our days exploring Sitka (the lighthouse came with a skiff to get us to the mainland), kayaking the Sitka waters, watching bald eagles and harbor seals, exploring the tidal ponds for starfish and other sea life, and enjoying the beautiful scenery in which we were surrounded! We grilled delicious meals in the evenings, made s’mores, enjoyed the fire pit, and relaxed in the hot tub. All this topped off with a gorgeous sunset marking the end of the day! If you get the chance, you should not hesitate to stay at the Sitka Lighthouse❤️

    We stayed at the lighthouse 9 days in early May. It was as advertised – amazing. A truly unique and beautiful place to stay with a degree of privacy you just can’t find anywhere else. The boat commute from town to the dock was quick and easy, and the outboard motor has an electric starter. The lighthouse itself has it all – a firepit and hot tub on the deck, a fully stocked kitchen, master bedroom, 4 bunk bedroom, and an observation floor on top with 360 views of the island and ocean. It has been fully redone and updated. We had the benefit of rain, so water was not an issue, but during a dry stint you might have to be careful about water usage; the water comes from a water catchment system.

    We planned lots of activities in and around town, but some days just being on the island and in the lighthouse was all the entertainment we needed. Between the deck, the dock, the rocks and the swing outside, it was a mini kid-paradise.

    Teal was great to work with – very responsive and no nonsense. Going above and beyond, she found and booked us a private King Salmon fishing charter last minute that was spectacular. Before we even left Sitka, the kids were already asking when we'd be back. We loved it, and we will be back.
